I visited France last year and had my vacation in Brittany. I had a chance to see some of the most impressive chateaus in France dating all the way back to 12 century.
One of them was amazing Dordogne castle with stunning view over the river. It has destroyed and restaurant many times through the history to keep it fortified for future generations. The inside of the castle showcase stunning 15th century frescoes complemented by grandiose staircase dating from the 17th century.
I was also impressed by charming chateau Des Milandes who was actually built for a future bride of a Francois de Caumont. Chateau has been destroyed during the French Revolution and rebuilt in 20th century.
One of the most impressive castles I have ever seen is definitely chateau De Jumihac. When I was a kid I dreamed of being princess and having my own castle. Chateau du Jimhac looks exactly as the castle that i pictured in my dreams. This chateau has been destroyed and rebuilt couple of times through the history. Nowadays it is very popular wedding venue and the main attraction for tourists from all around the world. If you are planning to have your wedding in France, we would highly recommend you to have your ceremony in the chateau du Jimhac.
